Binge Watching

"Just one more episode," we all have said this at one point in our lives. Binge watching a show is one of favorite things to do to pass time, it's so much better than watching a weekly show because you don't have to worry about what happens next or what show I'm going turn on after. As of now I am currently binge watching 3 shows on 3 different platforms with my friends, one from Netflix, one from Hulu and the other on HBO Max (and no it's not Euphoria).

Insecure on HBO Max is one of the most entertaining shows I have watched in a long time. It's a comedy drama that approaches difficult topics with a sense of humor. The show and it's characters are relatable and they provide realistic views on life. One reason this show is so popular is because it amplifies black women's perspectives (which most would say is a very underrepresented group in the entertainment industry). Insecure first aired in 2016 and it's 5th and final season finished in December of 2021.

The other show I binge watch is The Good Place on Netflix. This is another comedy series, but it's about the afterlife. The Good Place has many different storylines that all comes together into the main story, when you think you know what's about to happen the exact opposite happens. The characters are so different but alike at the same time, it's confusing but that's what makes them lovable. I don't want to give away to much because I can talk about this show all day. Netflix has all 4 seasons of the show which aired from 2016-2020. 

The Mick is on Hulu and it's the shortest series out of the 3 with only 2 seasons, but the show is so funny to me. Something wrong always happen in this show, these characters should be in jail by now. There's episodes of them breaking and entering, kidnapping, stealing a police gun, torturing and identity theft. I have rewatched this like 4 times and I still laugh every time. The show was canceled in 2018 because of poor ratings at the time, but if you looking for something to binge watch real fast I highly request The Mick. Mick and Ben are my favorite characters, the best episodes comes when they pair them 2 together.

Binge Watching has become apart of everyones life by now. If you have any type of streaming services at home you most likely have binged watched a show, its kind of no way around it.
